This 1991 Rickenbacker 355JL 'John Lennon Limited Edition' is a reissue of the 325, which was reissued in 1990 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of John Lennons birth. The vibrato unit is impressive, and the look of this guitar is a must-have for any John Lennon fan. John Lennon's 1958 model was among the very first batch made and has the pre-production feature of a solid top, i.e., no soundhole. It was originally painted maple-glow, but was refinished in black in 1962 or 1963. These instruments gained prominence due to John Lennon 's use of a 325 during the early years of The Beatles.
